Planting begins

The pupils have been very busy this week planting seedlings and seeds onto the site at Honeybone.  Carrots, peas and rhubarb are now growing there along with spring flowers such as Hyacinths, daffodils and tulips.  

Creating raised beds

The KS2 groups and gardening groups have been digging the raised beds in readiness for the planting of beetroot, beans and peas next week.  Spring is definitely here as you can see from the flowers and buds.

Allotment progress

Pupils from years 3,4,5 & 6 have begun work on digging raised beds in our allotment. This is part of their work to earn their AQA Certificate in Organic Gardening.
